Meeting will begin with a brief report by George Aquino on the Sanders campaign in Iowa, based upon firsthand experience.

As part of LA’s celebration of Black History Month, this meeting will explore African revolutionary struggles and humanism, from the 1950s to today. Ndindi Kitonga is a Kenyan-American revolutionary educator and a long-time organizer and activist in Los Angeles who has written on revolutionary critical pedagogy and democratic education.

Kevin B. Anderson’s is a sociology professor at UCSB and the author of MARX AT THE MARGINS: ON NATIONALISM, ETHNICITY, AND NON-WESTERN SOCIETIES and of LENIN, HEGEL, AND WESTERN MARXISM.
