Join the International Marxist-Humanist Organization for a stimulating, critical online reading group on the book Lenin, Hegel, and Western Marxism.

Date & Time: Biweekly meetings, starting on Monday April 19, 19:00 British summer time /20:00 Central European summer time

In this reading group, which will be held biweekly on Zoom, we will be reading and discussing Kevin B. Anderson’s Lenin, Hegel, and Western Marxism: A Critical Study from 1995 (University of Illinois Press). The reading group is free and open for anyone to attend. We will be reading one chapter before every session and then meet and discuss it. At each session we will assign one volunteer who for the coming session will prepare a short (max 10 minutes) presentation of one or two ideas of interest expressed in the chapter, and some points to discuss. Critical comments are much appreciated! At the very last session, Kevin B. Anderson will join us in our discussion and will be able to answer directly on questions or comments.

• Session 2: Chapter 2
• Session 3: Chapter 3
• Session 4: Chapter 4
• Session 5: Chapter 5
• Session 6: Chapter 6
• Session 7: Chapter 7
• Session 8: Chapter 8 and Conclusion
• Session 9: Reflections, Reviews, and discussion with the author

Sessions will be between 1-1,5 hours. Links will be sent out to participants 15 minutes before each session starts.
