Continuing on Sunday, July 25, 2021 6-8:00 PM, Los Angeles Time

This July 25 discussion will complete our months-long reading of Raya Dunayevskaya’s classic book, “Rosa Luxemburg, Women’s Liberation, and Marx’s Philosophy of Revolution.” This session will take up chapter 12, “The Last Writings of Marx Point a Trail the 1980s” (pp. 175-97), including differences over gender with Engels made evident by Marx’s “Ethnological Notebooks,” Marx’s increasing preoccupation with societies outside Western Europe as loci of revolution, and the need for a humanist vision of revolution.
