Summary: Left groups in Ireland lead march protesting Donald Trump’s visit and war in Iran — Editors

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, different Irish groups, including feminist, socialist and progressive organizations, joined a large demonstration in Dublin to protest against Donald Trump’s visit to Ireland.

The march began at the Garden of Remembrance in central Dublin and continued to the Irish Parliament. The demonstration was against Trump, war and militarism, the US military use of Shannon Airport, the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, the bombing of Iran and other countries, racism and misogyny, and in support of refugees and migrants.

I also joined the demonstration in opposition to the bombing of Iran, Palestine and other countries by the US, Israel and their allies; against the Islamic Republic; and in support of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement on its fourth anniversary, calling for an end to war and killing.

I join others in the hope for the victory of independent, freedom-seeking and progressive movements in Iran and around the world, and for peace, freedom, democracy, equality and social justice.

Some Banners and posters in this demonstration:

No War! No Militarism!  US Military Out of Shannon!

Stop the Genocide in Gaza! Stop bombing Iran!

Refugees Are Welcome Here! No Racism! No Misogyny! No Corruption!

Free Palestine! Free Iran! Woman, Life, Freedom!
