The new Trump administration poses a serious threat to every freedom movement in the US and abroad. This will be a particular challenge for those of us fighting for an alternative to capitalism, a new human society.

The International Marxist-Humanist Organization intends to respond to this crisis by fighting back this repression. We intend to continue to support and protect our web journal and organize public events. We have never recoiled from staring negativity in its face and theorized and analyzed this new fascist threat at its roots as part of a guide to action. And action is needed now

The new fascist threat is not a US problem only. From Russia to France, and Turkey to India, it is a reality, if not an impending one. At the same time, 2024 saw one of the most considerable global upsurges of activist engagement in support of the movement for Palestine. We in The International Marxist-Humanist Organization have supported and learned from this movement. One of our demands is, “From Ukraine to Palestine, occupation is a crime!”

By participating in demonstrations, listening to witnesses of violence and exploitation and with inspiration from the Marxist-Humanist tradition, we have published in the last year more than 100 articles in 9 languages, organized 25 public events, published 2 books, participated in 4 international conferences, started accounts on TikTok and Instagram, and grown the audience of our web journal. In addition, we held a 3-day Convention in Chicago this summer, discussing how to work toward a revolutionary Marxist-Humanist response to the new threats and challenges.

For 2025, we plan to increase our activities and grow our organizational presence in places such as Turkey, India, and Brazil. We have also started preparing for a public mini conference in the summer of 2025. To do this and to continue our work, we need your help.
